Personal Use

If the tracks are for personal use, you\'re good. You can print tracks, modify the models, etc.

Commercial Use

If you have prior written permission from 4DBrix, you are allowed to 3D print and sell copies of our models.
Any commercial activity based on our models, or models derived from them, with our explicit written consent is not permitted.

Set 210.1 - Double Crossover - Outside

Introduction

Set 210.1 is a double crossover with all the ground throws on the outside. It's equivalent to the discontinued LEGO® set 7996.

Features

There are a few significant improvements compared to the LEGO® 7996:

The crossover is modular, it consists of 6 track parts that can be used to build different types of switches.
The 4 switches of the crossover are independent, this means that two trains can pass the crossover simultaneously.

All our switches have a spring mechanism so trains can pass even if the switch is not in the 'correct' position. They have a LEGO® style ground throw so they will blend in seamlessly with your other switches. The switches are also fully compatible with our track switch motors, so this double crossover can easily be motorized.

Dimensions

The double crossover is designed to be fully compatible with the LEGO® grid. It fits into layouts that have parallel tracks spaced at an 8 stud distance.

Variants

Our double crossovers come in a number of variants:

210.1: with the ground throws on the outside. This configuration has optimal ground throw accessibility. It can also be automated with our track switch motors.
210.2: with the ground throws on the inside/outside This configuration has a smaller foot print. It cannot be automated with our track switch motors, there is not enough space to mount the motor on the inside switch tracks.
210.3: with the ground throws on the inside. This configuration has the smallest foot print; it has the same footprint as the LEGO® 7996. In order to get all the ground throws on the inside they had to be moved 2 studs closer to the tracks. The ground throws are far enough from the track for standard LEGO® trains and cars to pass.
