Plug it in, open nControl, automate!

Automate your train track switches from your computer with the easy to use 4DBrix system: 1 Controller + usb cable + up to 4 Motors + our free nControl software. The system is designed so that you can use multiple controllers at the same time. We have not forgotten the monorail: the monorail automation system will follow soon!

Track Switch Motors

The track switch motors (left or right) are designed for the LEGO® RC/PF and 9V track switches. The motors are powerful enough that they don't require any modification of the switch - just remove the yellow lever, put the motor on the switch and you're ready to go! You can use these motors with our Quad Switch Controller or with your own DIY Arduino based control system.

Quad Switch Controller

This controller enables you to actuate up to 4 track switch motors. All are in Dark Bluish Gray. The controller is intended to be used in combination with the free nControl train automation software. nControl can handle multiple controllers simultaneously. The number of controllers you can use is only limited by the number of USB devices that a computer can handle, which is 127.

Train Cross Track

This cross track allows you to build more interesting or compact layouts. It was developed to be fully compatible with the LEGO RC/PF train system.

Half and Quarter Tracks

If you don't like those flex tracks or need an extra 4 or 8 stud length, we've got you covered. They connect perfectly and blend in seamlessly.

Narrow Gauge Tracks: Full, Half, Quarter

For the narrow gauge lovers out there! Available in both dark bluish gray and black.

Our monorail products

Full Straight Track

Now you can go the extra mile - literally. Our tracks are fully compatible and in the original gray.

Custom Extension Car

With this car it is possible to extend your standard 2-car monorail train to a 3-car, 4-car, 5-car, ... train.

Monorail Cross Switch

Form a compact pattern of intersecting tracks that you can control manually or automate with a servo motor, such as the upcoming 4DBrix Servo Motor.

Diagonal Track

Now you can run your track diagonally and build up a 45 degree angle! The tracks connect perfectly to existing switches, tracks, stanchions or plates.

Short Curve Right / Left

The short curves are essential tracks to connect to the switches and the Diagonal Track, extending the flexibility of layouts.

Quarter Straight Track

For when you need that extra length. The quarter straight monorail track is 8 studs long.

Half Straight Track

A little flexibility can go a long way! The half straight monorail tracks are 16 stud long.

Custom Motor Cover

It doesn't get any better than this - a fully customizable motor cover for your awesome creation.

Additional Color Options

You asked, we deliver! We have two new motor cover color options to create the perfect monorail train MOC: light gray and white. Combine them with the white or black monorail tracks for a variety of scenes - maybe a Batman scene? Let us know if you need other colors.

Custom Ramp Extension

Ramp up your display in an elegant and smooth way. Reach new heights in a straight line, extending the ramp 32 studs in length / 1 stanchion in height with the long ramp extension or 16 studs in length / a half stanchion in height with the short ramp extension.

Design, manage your inventory and even simulate your layout

nControl is free and always will be! nControl has a track planner for both LEGO® trains and monorail. The inventory can immediatly tell you if you have enough tracks to build your layout - and what you are missing. It also has a simulation mode that allows you to explore the capabilities of our current and upcoming automation products on your own layout without having the hardware.

For the brick railroaders, nControl is an easy to set up 'out of the box' system. Just plug it in and follow the simple instructions. We are also here to help if you have any questions.

For the robotics enthousiasts, nControl has an API that allows you to fully control the behavior of the controller - it goes way beyond fine-tuning. The controller has an 'operating system' that can execute basic functions. Its behavior is fully determined by the nControl software, so you're really in control (hence the name...) of how you want your system to act. When designing it we looked at it more like a 'fully programmable robot' instead of a 'customizable train automation system'. The goal is to provide full control, so if there's something that you cannot access, let us know, and we'll see how to provide access. We see custom programming as a central part of nControl.

nControl Automation Tiles Examples

Train Track Switches

This tile allows you to control train track switch motors. You can already use them in simulation mode and see the switches in your layout flip on your screen.

Train Traffic Lights

The traffic light tile changes the light between red and green. You can also add two additional buttons to switch the light off or to make the light flashing.

Sound Effects

Sound tiles allow you to add sound effects by playing mp3 files from nControl. nControl comes with a few sound effects but you can also upload your own custom sound files.
